Textron Lycoming Engines in Williamsport, PA, is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to support propulsion subsystem digitization and product design lifecycle. The role offers mentorship, hands-on experience, and exposure across functions.

The position develops mechanical/electrical requirements, certification plans, and system testing, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and field engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in electrical or aerospace engineering.
• Knowledge of propulsion systems (internal combustion engines) preferred.
• Excellent presentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements and specifications for mechanical and electrical systems
• Develop certification plans and supporting artifacts to meet applicable regulatory compliance
• Develop trade study analyses with senior engineers' supervision
• Test systems for feasibility and certification
• Generate test reports and ensure alignment with leaders/ODA
• Assist with familiarization briefs to customers and cross-functional teams
• Assist Lycoming product support and production engineering as needed
