Job summary

Lycoming Engines in Williamsport, PA, is seeking an entry-level Mechanical/Aerospace engineer to join the product design and development team. You’ll support engine and component designs, document processes, and contribute to cross-functional projects from day one.

This role offers hands-on mentorship, exposure to FAA processes, and opportunities to work on BOMs, ECOs, and PLM workflows as you build foundational engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Knowledge of drafting standards (ASME Y14.5).
• Familiarity with BOMs and ERP systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments related to new product development.
• Create and maintain engine BOM.
• Review changes to engineering procedures and drawings.
• Create and execute ECOs using PLM software.
• Consult with customers on designs and specifications.
• Assist ODA group with FAA certification effort.
• Coordinate activities with Director, Configuration Management and Regulations to ensure goals.
• May interface with suppliers.
