Job summary

Superior Industries, a leading provider of crushing, screening, washing and conveying equipment, seeks a Senior Design Engineer to drive the design and development of custom crushing equipment from concept to manufacturing. You will engage in design analysis, testing, prototyping, cross-team collaboration, and mentoring—influencing the product life cycle and the aggregate industry.

Responsibilities include coordinating product design, detailing equipment, performing analyses, creating drawings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Crushing Engineering and machine design principles.
• FEA, stress analysis or similar simulation experience.
• Understanding of cone, jaw and impact crushers.
• Field experience with commissioning and troubleshooting equipment.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate product design and development for crushing equipment used in processing bulk material and aggregates.
• Design and detail custom crushing equipment.
• Perform design analysis for components.
• Create drawings and BOMs with production-ready information.
• Lead product development projects and manage timelines.
• Perform testing and prototyping of new products.
• Provide support to sales and service teams.
• Mentor other team members on crusher design principles.
