Job summary

Superior Industries is seeking a Design Engineer I to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for our crushing equipment projects. From concept to manufacturing, you will participate in all stages of the engineering process.

You will coordinate product design for crushing equipment and create detailed drawings and BOMs, while performing design analyses and tests to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver manufacturable designs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate product design and development for crushing equipment used in processing bulk material and aggregates
• Design and detail custom crushing equipment
• Perform design analysis for components
• Perform testing and prototyping of new products
• Create drawings and bills of material that are accurate and contain all information required by production
• Evaluate and implement design changes
• Other duties as assigned
