Job summary

RTX seeks a Senior Design Engineer in Portsmouth, RI to lead design, modeling, and documentation of large assemblies using CREO. The role focuses on advanced 3D modeling within the Undersea & Electronics Systems division.

You will collaborate with engineers and suppliers to develop the TDP, ensure compliance, and generate drawings. A degree plus CAD experience is required, with US citizenship and clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

University degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years experience.
Experience with CAD tools and advanced modeling and drawing.
Experience with GD&T (ASME Y-14.5) and drawing interpretation for mechanical hardware.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
US citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

Design, model, and document large assemblies and sub-assemblies in CREO.
Communicate with engineers and suppliers to prepare the TDP and ensure compliance with configuration and drafting requirements.
Support development, evaluation, and analysis of mechanical designs.
Generate and release engineering drawings and drawing change notices.
Utilize CREO for modeling and documentation creation.
