Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Medical Science Liaison for the Northwest Region (ND, SD, MT, WY, ID, OR, WA, AK) to analyze and translate scientific data for KOLs and HCPs, and to advance medical strategy. The role emphasizes external engagement, sponsor research support, and compliant information exchange.

Travel up to 70% is required, with frequent meetings and virtual collaboration across the US. A doctoral or master's degree in health sciences plus 2+ years MSL experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in life/health sciences preferred (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent).
• Master’s degree in health sciences (MSN, NP or PA) is the minimum requirement.
• 2+ years of MSL experience within healthcare or related field.

Responsibilities

• Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities comprise ~80% of responsibilities.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas and products; interpret and disseminate complex data.
• Support sponsored research and assist with investigator-initiated studies.
• Collect, interpret, and communicate medical insights to refine strategies.
• Identify partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
• Present medical insights at conferences and internal briefings.
• Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information queries within timelines.
• Complete CRM entries, insights capture, training, and expense reporting.
