Job summary

Takeda is seeking a field-based Medical Science Liaison in the United States. The role focuses on external engagement with KOLs/HCPs and dissemination of scientific data to advance Takeda's medical strategy and improve patient outcomes.

Reporting to the Director of MSL, you will build professional relationships, analyze complex information, and support research initiatives. This role requires up to 70% travel and virtual collaboration across states including ND, MT, WY, OR, WA, and others.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in life/health sciences preferred or equivalent Master’s degree minimum
• 2+ years of MSL experience in healthcare or related fields
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams with compliant practices

Responsibilities

• Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities to 80%+ of responsibilities
• Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas and products; translate complex data to KOLs/HCPs
• Support Takeda-sponsored research and investigator-initiated studies
• Collect and communicate medical insights to refine medical strategies and tactics
• Identify partnerships between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical
• Participate in medical conferences and disseminate insights
• Respond to unsolicited clinical information inquiries within defined timelines
• Documentation of activities, training, expenses, and other admin tasks
