Job summary

Takeda seeks a Medical Science Liaison to join the US Medical team in a field-based capacity. The role analyzes and translates complex scientific data, builds relationships with KOLs/HCPs, and supports externally sponsored research, with travel up to 70%.

The MSL will disseminate medical insights to inform strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliant communication to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in life/health sciences preferred (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent).
• Master’s degree in health sciences (MSN, NP or PA) is the minimum requirement.
• Dissemination of complex scientific data to healthcare audiences.
• Clinical, research, and/or teaching experience.
• Ability to work effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams.
• Execution of activities within legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans.
• Analyze and interpret complex scientific information and disseminate to KOLs/HCPs in a compliant manner.
• Support Takeda-sponsored research and facilitate investigator-initiated studies.
• Communicate medical insights to inform strategies and tactics.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
• Participate in medical conferences and disseminate insights from poster sessions.
• Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries and document activities.
