Job summary

MFS is seeking a Sr. Manager – Derivative Investments & Operations Technology in Boston to lead the delivery of advanced derivative trading and operations solutions.

You will guide software engineers, analysts, and QA in building scalable, compliant platforms used by portfolio managers, traders, and risk teams. The role combines deep derivatives knowledge with strong leadership and execution skills, overseeing cross‑functional teams in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of derivative investment and trading technology experience with leadership.
• Experience with major platforms: Calypso, Murex, Charles River, Bloomberg, Tradeweb.
• Strong knowledge of derivative investment workflows and asset classes in trading, portfolio management, and compliance.
• Experience with SDLC, QA automation, and DevOps.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead SMEs and teams across derivative trading, operations, and compliance tech.
• Guide architecture, cloud adoption, and data governance practices.
• Coordinate cross‑functional Agile projects with Product Owners.
• Ensure platform alignment with business priorities and standards.
• Collaborate with Business Heads and external vendors.
