Job summary

MFS Investment Management is seeking a Sr. Manager for Derivative Investments & Operations Technology in Boston. You will lead a cross-functional team of engineers, analysts, and QA to deliver scalable derivative trading and portfolio management solutions.

You will partner with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable plans while advancing SDLC, DevOps, and data governance across platforms used by portfolio managers and traders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8–12+ years of derivative investment and trading technology with leadership experience.
Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, Angular/React, APIs and messaging frameworks.
Familiarity with major trading/investment platforms (Calypso, Murex, Charles River, Bloomberg, Tradeweb).
Strong knowledge of derivative investment workflows and asset classes.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor software engineers, business analysts and QA in cross-functional projects.
Guide delivery of derivative trading, portfolio management, and operations systems.
Collaborate with product owners to translate requirements into technical plans.
Ensure adherence to SDLC, QA automation, DevOps practices and data governance.
Drive scalability, reliability and performance improvements across platforms.
Partner with enterprise architecture and external vendors for data integrations.
