Job summary

MFS Investment Management is seeking a Technical Lead to drive software development across Portfolio Accounting, Security Master, and related modules. You will partner with Product Owners, Analysts, and Operations to deliver scalable solutions in an agile environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with globally distributed teams, mentoring junior staff, and aligning technical standards with best practices while exploring AI-enabled improvements. Hybrid work arrangement in the U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field or equivalent experience.
5–6+ years of experience in Financial Services supporting Operations, Trading or Investment systems.
Domain expertise in Trade Processing, Portfolio Accounting, Holdings Management, Corporate Actions, Pricing & Valuation, and Security Master Reference Data.
Knowledge of global settlement, payments, and reconciliation processes (e.g., T+1).
Experience with Eagle suite products – PACE, STAR Accounting; strong Eagle Web Panel and Rule configuration.
Experience with data platforms (Snowflake, Oracle, MS SQL Server) and Microsoft AI ecosystem (Azure OpenAI, Copilot, Power Platform).

Responsibilities

Lead projects from inception to completion, translating requirements into design, coding, and testing.
Collaborate with analysts and end users to evaluate needs and select technologies.
Drive adoption of AI and Copilot to improve quality and delivery.
Stay current with new technologies and assist architects in evaluating products.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
Document code and processes for maintenance and transfer of knowledge.
Manage multiple tasks and adhere to SDLC standards.
Improve processes and optimize workflows across projects.
Provide on-call technical support and production assistance.
Participate in the community of practice to promote innovation.
