Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership for Distributed Energy Resources (DER) projects and electric distribution system upgrades for Baltimore Gas & Electric. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and compliance while mentoring junior engineers and guiding complex studies.

You will lead engineering tasks, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate with stakeholders, and perform field inspections as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or PE license, with required experience and licensure.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical systems.
• Knowledge of problem-solving approaches and engineering theory.
• Detailed knowledge of applicable standards, codes and practices.

Responsibilities

• Leads and performs assignments in specialized engineering areas requiring extensive expertise.
• Leads complex engineering tasks and projects with significant impact.
• Evaluates complex technical issues and recommends actions or programs for resolution.
• Develops and leads projects with significant financial and operational impact; drafts commissioning plans.
• Provides technical training, mentorship, and peer reviews to others.
• Participates in department planning, meetings, budget recommendations, and performance monitoring.
• Engages in technical societies to stay updated on new technologies.
