Job summary

Accura Engineering in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager to oversee moderately complex engineering projects at the Marshall Space Flight Center. You will ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality results while coordinating staff and customer representatives.

The role requires a blend of technical acumen and strong leadership, with responsibilities spanning task orders, resource planning, team supervision, and proactive client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering, project, or program management.
• PE license or Registered Architect preferred.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage staff.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong client relationship management in complex situations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to set priorities, delegate authority, and coach and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Receive and communicate task and project orders, scope, and estimates.
• Oversee day-to-day operations while coordinating the onsite team.
• Ensure resource planning and execution of the contract per the contract work statement.
• Supervise and guide direct reports, including A&E Managers and GIS Manager.
• Foster synergies between work requests to improve efficiency.
• Support program leadership in planning and delivering projects on schedule and budget.
• Lead project teams to maintain high performance, quality, and safety.
• Maintain client relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and project documentation.
• Participate in proposal writing and development to support growth.
