Job summary

MSP Communications, the agency behind The Agency at MSP, seeks a Deputy Editor/Senior Content Strategist for a monthly banking publication and other financial services projects. You will report to a Content Director, guiding publication flow, editing, and client coordination from Minnesota-based offices in a hybrid setup.

Responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, ideating engaging content, supervising writers, and enhancing SEO across digital assets.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years writing and editing in a publishing and/or content agency setting.
• Well-versed in both digital and print content development, distribution and performance.
• Familiar with AP Style.
• Experience working with clients; ability to provide clear direction and manage freelance writers.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-Day Publication Management: Overseen by the Executive Editor, you’ll keep the magazine running month to month, working with the Associate Editor and content interns.
• Creative Ideation: Lead on front-of-book and back-of-book content; ideate features and articles; maintain pitches database.
• Content Production: Build assignment letters, assign to writers, edit for voice and accuracy, write articles as needed.
• Client Communication: Communicate with clients via email, Teams calls and in person.
• Digital Assets: Write a bimonthly email newsletter, optimize articles for search, manage LinkedIn, and quality-check CMS uploads.
