Job summary

Area Development, a premier B2B media brand in corporate real estate and economic development, seeks a Senior Editor to lead our content program, deepen source networks, and serve as the editorial voice across print, digital, live events, newsletters, podcasts, and other multimedia formats.

This hands-on role focuses on sourcing, shaping, and publishing high-value editorial work, mentoring staff and freelance contributors, and collaborating with design, production, and marketing to grow

Qualifications

• Strong editorial experience in B2B media or trade journalism.
• Proven ability to develop executive-level sources and interview leaders.
• Ability to manage multiple print and digital deadlines with solid judgment.

Responsibilities

• Generate original content across print, digital, and multimedia channels.
• Lead source development and establish an editorial roadmap.
• Coordinate with design and production for brand-consistent outputs.
• Represent the publication at industry events and panels as required.
• Oversee editorial quality, copy editing, and freelancer coordination.
• Develop newsletters, podcasts, and other multimedia formats.
