Job summary

The 185 CORPORATION COMMISSION seeks a Certified Depreciation Manager to lead depreciation, accounting, auditing, and regulatory analysis for Commission-jurisdictional utilities. You will develop policy recommendations, oversee technical work, and guide strategic initiatives while ensuring fair, just, and reasonable rates.

The role requires deep regulatory knowledge, strong judgment, and proven leadership to manage complex projects and mentor staff within a statewide regulatory program.

Qualifications

  • Requires highly specialized knowledge in depreciation, accounting, finance and regulatory disciplines.
  • Bachelor's degree with 7 years in regulation of Commission-jurisdictional utilities; CPA/CPD optional.
  • Master's degree with 5 years of progressive regulatory experience and CPD credential.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs and coordinates regulatory depreciation, accounting, auditing and economic analysis.
  • Develops recommendations on depreciation, ratemaking, policy and regulatory procedures.
  • Provides leadership, sets priorities, evaluates performance and fosters collaboration.
  • Directs case processing activities including proceedings involving utilities and compliance.
  • Monitors regulatory developments and proposes policy responses.
  • Reviews testimony, reports and analyses for technical accuracy and policy alignment.
  • Presents testimony before the Commission as required.
