Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the iSeries Deposit team.

You will work in an agile setting on software solutions for ACH, Wires, and Time Deposit functions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to research requirements and promote solutions. You will design, develop, test, and document software, provide technical guidance, and ensure timely, quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of professional programming experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with RPG, SQL, and DB2.
• Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering, or computer science preferred.
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies, SOA architecture, and XML is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completes product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution.
• Performs system analysis and programming activities with research and analysis as needed.
• Provides technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until retirement.
• Provides both individual and budget-level task estimates and costs.
• Ensures timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production.
• Develops and tests applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.
• Creates required technical documentation.
• Adheres to standards and participates in documentation of standards.
• Collaborates with QA to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Collaborates with customer support to diagnose defects and resolve issues.
• Performs release validation testing and beta support.
• Researches problems and develops solutions; conducts unit and integration testing.
• Mentors less experienced peers; may contribute to product architecture.
