Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with formal training in an ADA‑accredited dental assisting program.
• Certification in Radiation Safety required for positions responsible for dental x‑rays.
• 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred; willing to consider 3 years of experience in lieu of formal training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with chairside procedures for multiple dental specialties, including general and advanced care.
• Set up operatory for procedures, maintain sterile instruments, and ensure infection control standards.
• Capture radiographs (periapical, panoramic, cephalometric, 3‑D) and ensure x-ray safety protocols.
• Assist with patient transport and monitoring after anesthesia as needed.
• Maintain supplies and inventory; manage MSDS notebook and incident reporting.
