Job summary

A-Team Dental Staffing LLC in Glen Dale, West Virginia, is partnering with a private practice to recruit two experienced Dental Assistants for full-time, direct-hire roles. The practice has served the community for over 30 years and offers general, cosmetic, restorative, implant, endodontic and surgical dentistry.

Ideal candidates have several years of hands-on experience and can contribute in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on dental assisting experience required.
• Experience assisting with restorative dentistry, oral surgery, implants, extractions, and root canals is strongly preferred.
• Dental radiology certification as required by West Virginia.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, materials, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance
• Anticipate the dentist’s needs throughout procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment
• Assist with crowns, bridges, composites, amalgam fillings, root canals, extractions, implants, pulpotomies, dentures and other restorative procedures
• Assist with surgical and complex dental procedures
• Take diagnostic-quality digital radiographs
• Prepare patients for treatment and explain procedures
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Open Dental
• Turn over treatment rooms thoroughly and efficiently
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control protocols
• Monitor clinical supplies and restock treatment areas
• Provide postoperative instructions
• Help anxious patients feel comfortable and cared for
• Maintain smooth and efficient patient flow
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and practice safety requirements
• Communicate professionally with the dentist, patients, and team members
