Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on dental assisting experience required.
• Experience assisting with restorative dentistry, oral surgery, implants, extractions, and root canals is strongly preferred.
• Dental radiology certification as required by West Virginia.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, materials, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance
• Anticipate the dentist’s needs throughout procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment
• Assist with crowns, bridges, composites, amalgam fillings, root canals, extractions, implants, pulpotomies, dentures and other restorative procedures
• Assist with surgical and complex dental procedures
• Take diagnostic-quality digital radiographs
• Prepare patients for treatment and explain procedures
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Open Dental
• Turn over treatment rooms thoroughly and efficiently
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control protocols
• Monitor clinical supplies and restock treatment areas
• Provide postoperative instructions
• Help anxious patients feel comfortable and cared for
• Maintain smooth and efficient patient flow
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and practice safety requirements
• Communicate professionally with the dentist, patients, and team members

A-Team Dental Staffing has partnered with an established private dental practice in Glen Dale, West Virginia, to recruit two experienced Dental Assistants for full-time, direct-hire opportunities.

This single-provider practice has served the community for more than 30 years and provides comprehensive general, cosmetic, restorative, implant, endodontic, and surgical dentistry. The practice is seeking confident, dependable assistants with several years of hands-on experience who can contribute immediately in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday: 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
  
• Friday hours may vary
• Team members arrive approximately 30 minutes before the first patient

Compensation

• $20-$25 per hour
  
• Compensation based on experience, certifications, and clinical skill level
• Exceptional candidates with extensive implant, oral-surgery, or endodontic experience may be considered above the posted range

Requirements
