Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a Demand Planning professional to analyze, improve, and recommend demand forecasts for high-volume categories using sales and operations processes. You will provide actionable data analyses to support business cases and mentor other contributors.

You will develop forecasts across all business segments, lead analytics projects, improve forecast accuracy, and collaborate with inventory and promotions teams to align open-to-buy plans with forecasts.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline; MS/MA preferred.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience with demand planning and forecasting in a multi-category environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes forecasts to support enterprise S&OP for high-volume categories.
• Executes demand planning for specific product categories with repeatable processes.
• Delivers the total demand forecasts and develops analytics.
• Mentors new associates and leads small analytics projects.
• Measures forecast accuracy and communicates results to stakeholders.
• Collaborates with other departments to incorporate new products, retirements, promotions into planning.
• Works with inventory analytics to align forecast to open-to-buy plans.
