Job summary

CJ Schwan’s in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Demand Planner to manage demand forecasting for assigned products, collaborating with Sales, Marketing and Trade teams to drive forecast accuracy. You will use Blue Yonder and analyze historical shipments to continually improve forecasting accuracy.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, align forecasts with market trends, and participate in training and software implementations while driving key performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years demand planning or forecasting experience.
• Must demonstrate leadership and communication skills across organization.

Responsibilities

• Examine historical shipments, use forecasting tools, and document assumptions.
• Examine forecasts with marketing/category trends and consumption.
• Collect forecast inputs from Marketing by item, week, customer and geography.
• Track and report actual demand vs. forecast and reduce bias to improve accuracy.
• Participate in education/training and new forecasting software implementation.
• Improve technical capability in forecasting tools and processes.
• Serve as first contact for Sales Planning and Trade regarding variances outside tolerance.
• Collaborate with Marketing or Sales leadership to identify forecast assumptions affecting accuracy.
