Job summary

Intuit in San Diego is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to own demand forecasting within the GBSG. You will model and quantify drivers, deliver forecast estimates, and partner with product, marketing, and finance to align plans with business goals.

You will build production-grade time-series models, validate approaches, and translate results into actionable recommendations for senior leaders while operating in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data science or quantitative analytics, with a focus on forecasting, demand planning, or time-series modeling.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL across large-scale data environments; comfort with data workflow management.
• Hands-on experience building, validating, and deploying time-series or demand forecasting models in production or operational contexts.
• Ability to break down ambiguous business problems into analytical questions and hypotheses, and to prove or disprove them.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end demand forecasting across the GBSG portfolio, from early-season outlook through real-time in-season re-forecasting.
• Build and maintain models that translate signals into accurate, decision-ready forecasts.
• Quantify forecast risk with scenario models and confidence intervals for planning.
• Translate business problems into predictive modeling tasks and independently own model development and validation.
