Job summary

Lilly is constructing an advanced manufacturing facility for monoclonal antibodies in Richmond, VA, and seeks a Sr. Principal DeltaV Automation Engineer to lead design and delivery of the DeltaV platform for GMP manufacturing startup.

You will collaborate with A&E firms, system integrators, and Tech@Lilly to develop and validate automation solutions, while mentoring teams and shaping the site automation culture through startup, qualification, and ongoing support.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
5+ years of process automation experience with Emerson DeltaV.
5+ years of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Lead DeltaV platform design and software integration for manufacturing expansion.
Manage system integrators for DeltaV software delivery.
Collaborate with Tech@Lilly and GPACE to deliver integrated Automation/MES solutions.
Develop site automation capabilities and procedures.
Support Process Safety Management (PSM) and PHR activities.
Coordinate design, staffing, SOWs, and supplier management for automation systems.
