Job summary

Lilly in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an Engineer - Automation Engineering to provide automation support across manufacturing and capital projects. The role focuses on delivering reliable control applications, mentoring the process control team, and ensuring GMP-compliant operations from startup through steady-state production.

You will lead DeltaV/DCS/SCADA design and testing, participate in design reviews, and collaborate with Process Engineering to develop control strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. in Engineering with Automation experience.
• 2+ years in Biopharma engineering, operations or manufacturing.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Experience with process control systems (DeltaV, DCS, PLC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide automation support for operating areas and capital projects.
• Mentor process control team including design, controls philosophy and commissioning.
• Lead design reviews and DeltaV application software reviews.
• Develop and implement the Automation Engineering Project Plan.
• Lead site leads and System Integrator in functional requirements and design specs.
• Lead commissioning and provide periodic project updates.
• Develop control strategies in collaboration with Process Engineering.
• Maintain validated state of site control systems and support GMP operations.
