Job summary

Amazon is seeking a senior leader to oversee delivery station operations in Edwardsville, IL. You will drive safety, quality, and performance while developing people and leading lean initiatives across a 24/7 operation, coordinating with DSP partners and multiple internal functions.

You will set expectations for Ops Managers, measure results, and implement talent strategies, processes, and improvement plans to meet ambitious business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 7+ years’ direct management experience in logistics, fulfillment, last-mile manufacturing, engineering, production or distribution.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering performance and financial results under high pressure.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and lean techniques.
• Experience with full lifecycle staffing including interviewing, hiring, and performance management.
• Strong analytical capability with data-driven problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills in local language and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, quality, performance, customer experience and people development for delivery station operations.
• Lead vision and implement quality, process change and lean initiatives to meet business plans.
• Identify gaps between performance and goals and drive improvements.
• Set clear requirements for Operations, Area and Shift Managers and measure performance.
• Manage 24/7 operations and relationships with multiple DSPs.
• Present operational metrics to senior leadership and drive improvement plans.
• Hire and develop talent, with plans for acquisition, performance, development and engagement.
• Foster culture and engagement across all delivery station levels.
• Share best practices across departments and shifts and with the network.
• Collaborate with Transport, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, and Engineering to secure resources.
