Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Principal Project Manager (Consultant) to lead large, complex programs across the full software development lifecycle. You will advise senior client stakeholders, shape program strategy, and drive delivery excellence while aligning with commercial goals.

This role offers remote work across the United States and opportunities to influence delivery at scale. You will define governance, manage budgets, and mentor delivery teams, leveraging emerging technologies to achieve

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, CS, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
10+ years leading enterprise technology delivery programs, software development initiatives, or digital transformations.
Experience delivering cloud transformation, application modernization, microservices and enterprise platform initiatives.
Strong SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and operational readiness.
Expertise in Agile and traditional delivery frameworks with appropriate application.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps and Atlassian products (Smartsheet desired).
Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasting, profitability and commercial performance.
Experience with Fixed Price, T&M, and Managed Services engagements.
Strong risk, dependency and governance management; executive communication.
Experience leading distributed cross-functional teams and mentoring delivery teams.

Responsibilities

Lead complex programs and interdependent workstreams with clear outcomes and milestones.
Evolve delivery methodologies, planning standards and supporting tools for sustainable delivery.
Translate strategic goals into executable roadmaps and governance models.
Influence C-level stakeholders and steering committees on priorities and investments.
Develop long-term client engagement strategies leveraging market insight and emerging tech.
Act as trusted adviser balancing client strategy, delivery feasibility, and commercial obligations.
Define reporting standards for progress, risks, budgets and decisions.
Oversee RAID management and anticipate budget or resourcing constraints.
Develop contingency strategies and escalate material risks when needed.
Manage program budgets to maximize profitability and ensure transparency.
Leverage Ensono Digital products/services to connect client needs with specialists.
Lead proposals and presales with competitive insights and mitigations.
