Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer in Ashburn, VA. You will lead large technical teams, represent CW as a technical expert, and translate customer requirements into low-risk, executable solutions for DoD vehicle applications.

The role emphasizes solving complex problems, producing detailed technical documentation, and guiding cross-functional groups to deliver secure, high-performance systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with US DoD primes or direct support to them.
• Knowledge of system hardware/software development, integration and test for deployed military vehicle applications.
• Expert knowledge of systems engineering tools DOORS and Cameo.
• Experience with engineering development tools like Clearquest, JIRA, and Rational Development Tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead large technical teams to meet complex customer requirements.
• Represent the company as the technical expert to customers, suppliers, and CW management.
• Synthesize requirements into low-risk solutions.
• Produce technical documentation describing CW's solution to customers and engineering teams.
• Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
