Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a Sr Program Controls Specialist to join our PMO in Danbury, CT, supporting defense programs from proposal to delivery. You will partner with leadership, engineering, finance, and customers to maintain integrated plans, schedules, and budgets that drive execution.

The role requires strong experience in program controls, schedule management, and EVMS, with collaboration across engineering, operations, and program management. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years of related experience in defense program controls.
• Experience developing and managing schedules for large, complex programs in defense.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar planning tools and EVMS concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, and budgets to support contractual requirements across multiple programs and large, complex initiatives.
• Collaborate with program leadership to establish executable plans that align technical, financial, and operational objectives.
• Conduct detailed analysis to define program requirements, milestones, resource needs, and critical paths.
• Lead coordination across cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of complex delivery schedules.
• Provide schedule and planning expertise to management and customers, recommending modifications to optimize performance.
• Coordinate budget planning and tracking across program teams.
• Support proposal and capture efforts by developing schedules, identifying risks, and recommending execution strategies.
• Mentor junior scheduling professionals.
• Champion organizational values and continuous improvement.
