Job summary

General-Tool is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst in Reading, OH to own detailed cost and price proposals for aerospace and defense contracts. You will build bottoms-up labor and overhead models, support DCAA audits, and ensure pricing is compliant, competitive, and defensible from initial estimates through negotiations.

You will collaborate with program management, finance, business development, and legal to translate pricing into actionable insights for senior leadership and government

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; master's preferred.
• Minimum five years of cost estimating and pricing experience in government/defense.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS and government contract pricing.
• Experience preparing proposal cost volumes and supporting DCAA audits.
• Advanced Excel modeling, PowerPoint, and cost estimating tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to brief senior leaders.
• Capable of managing multiple proposals under tight deadlines.
• Collaborative, proactive, cross-functional team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and defend detailed cost and price proposals that are compliant, competitive, and audit-ready.
• Develop bottoms-up direct labor and overhead rate models, labor loading, and resource plans tied to WBS and program schedules.
• Perform cost-to-complete analyses and support forecasts with clear variance explanations.
• Apply FAR/DFARS/CAS and agency pricing rules to ensure compliant pricing actions.
• Create pricing exhibits, cost narratives, and cost volume content for RFP responses; develop price-to-win analyses.
• Support contract negotiations and post-award actions including clarifications and modifications.
• Maintain and communicate indirect rate structures and burden models with accounting/finance.
• Respond to DCAA/DOL inquiries and audit requests with prepared documentation.
• Maintain historical cost databases and apply lessons learned to future estimates.
• Negotiate terms with government agencies and prepare concise, defensible positions.
