Allison Transmission, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Senior Powertrain Engineer to lead cross-drive transmission integration efforts within the Defense Product Integration Engineering team.

You will design tests, validate configurations, and collaborate with customers and OEMs to optimize drivability, reliability, and performance in powerpacks and vehicles. With 7+ years in powertrain design or testing and a BS or MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, you will analyze data, develop

Qualifications

• BS/MS Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering required.
• Proficiency in written and spoken business communication.
• Experience in powertrain design engineering and/or test.
• Experience with data analysis and tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess program opportunity requirements in support of technical solution development.
• Use Allison developed tools to develop vehicle predictive performance.
• Work directly with internal and external customers to develop and execute project plans.
• Travel as required to complete installation reviews and perform product evaluations.
• Create, optimize, and validate product calibrations.
• Diagnose and address product findings.
• Prepare technical data packages, such as installation documents, test procedures, performance specifications and assist in product technical data creation.
