Job summary

Allison Transmission in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer to join our Powertrain Control Systems Engineering team.

You will lead integration of heavy-duty propulsion control systems and work with MATLAB/Simulink in a model-based environment. You will collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate electrical, mechanical, and sensors components for industry-leading propulsion systems, applying DFMEAs and MIL/SIL/HIL testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in Powertrain or Vehicle Embedded Control Systems.
• MATLAB/Simulink in production controls environment; DFMEA experience.
• CAN/J1939 data communication knowledge; MIL/SIL/HIL testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop system requirements.
• Design/Develop/Implement embedded controls in production.
• Create/Maintain DFMEAs.
• Develop/Execute verification and validation plans.
• Lead control system integration design including interfaces.
• Utilize MIL/SIL/HIL and test assets for controls development.
• Collaborate with customers to optimize system integration.
