Job summary

Allen Control Systems in Austin, TX, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to own and secure our network infrastructure across on-prem and AWS. You will design, implement, and maintain resilient networks supporting rapid growth in a defense-focused environment, collaborating with IT, security, and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of production network experience, strong firewall management skills, and a demonstrated ability to document networks and enforce segmentation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator with production networks.
• Hands-on experience with on‑prem and AWS cloud networking (VPC, subnets, security groups, VPN/Direct Connect).
• Experience designing network segmentation for regulated environments.
• Strong firewall administration knowledge (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-site network issues independently.

• Design network segmentation for regulated environments.
