Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering and network security.
• Experience designing and securing complex enterprise or data center networks.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, load balancing, and OSI fundamentals.
• Deep experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, F5, or similar technologies.
• Experience implementing segmentation and Zero Trust architectures.
• Strong scripting and automation experience with Python, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable network security architectures across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Develop segmentation strategies, Zero Trust controls, and secure network designs for HPC and distributed infrastructure.
• Configure and optimize firewalls, VPNs, proxies, load balancers, and advanced threat protection technologies.
• Support secure connectivity across trusted, untrusted, DMZ, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex network security incidents.
• Lead root-cause analysis and drive corrective and preventative actions.
• Provide technical guidance on architecture, troubleshooting, and security best practices.
• Mentor engineers and support technical decision-making across the team.
• Build automation for security infrastructure provisioning, policy management, and lifecycle operations.
• Develop tooling and workflows using Python, Terraform, Ansible, APIs, and Git-based processes.
• Support firewall policy automation and orchestration using AlgoSec, Tufin, Jenkins, or similar technologies.
• Reduce manual security operations through repeatable automation and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Support vulnerability assessments, penetration testing coordination, and remediation activities.
• Develop and maintain security policies, threat models, and technical standards.
• Partner with engineering teams to embed security into infrastructure and application environments.
• Support incident response, security monitoring, and risk-reduction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
