Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Defense Litigation Associate Attorney for its General Liability practice. The position offers a hybrid remote opportunity with locations in New York City, NY; Uniondale, NY; White Plains, NY; and Stamford, CT. The successful candidate will primarily defend general and premises liability matters and assist in product liability defense for FDA-regulated products. This is a great opportunity for an attorney with substantial defense litigation experience to advance in a dynamic environment.

Duties:

1. Take and defend depositions, ensuring comprehensive documentation.
2. Research legal, medical, and scientific issues, collaborating with senior attorneys on strategies.
3. Draft legal documents, including memoranda, briefs, motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
4. Prepare detailed reports such as case evaluations, deposition summaries, and medical record analyses.
5. Coordinate testimony and case analysis with expert witnesses.
6. Participate in trial, mediation, and ADR preparations.
7. Represent clients at court appearances, including oral arguments and discovery conferences.
8. Maintain a minimum of 1900 billable hours annually.

Requirements:

1. 6-10+ years of experience in general, premises, and/or product liability, with significant deposition and courtroom experience.
2. Admission to the New York Bar is required; New Jersey Bar is a plus.
3. Strong familiarity with New York Courts.
4. Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment.
