Job summary

IDS is seeking senior cost estimators with deep commodity expertise to support targeted cost studies, schedule analyses, benchmarks, and data mapping across Air Force and Space Force weapon systems. This role covers six commodity areas and may be full-time or on-call depending on task needs.

Location is remote or hybrid in the United States, with occasional travel to the National Capital Region. Active Secret clearance is required at hire; Top Secret with SCI eligibility is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of cost analysis experience.
• Minimum seven years of DoW experience with defense entities.
• Demonstrated expertise in Air Force weapon systems and cost drivers.
• Experience gathering and normalizing government data and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support cost, schedule, and technical studies in the assigned commodity.
• Identify programmatic cost drivers across acquisition and O&S phases.
• Develop and review cost estimating relationships and benchmarks.
• Advise data scientists on mapping data into the enterprise environment.
• Ensure study results are usable by working cost estimators.
