Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector seeks a Business Development Manager 3 to join our Business Development team at the Linthicum, MD campus. This role leads end-to-end business-development strategies to generate new revenue opportunities and winning capture approaches for new programs and growth of existing ones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited university.
• 7+ years in business development, strategy, capture leadership or program management.
• 4+ years of team leadership/management experience.
• Active TS/SSBI OR TS/SCI DoD clearance at time of application.
• Understanding of U.S. Government requirements, budgeting, acquisition processes.
• Experience executing defense industry business development processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market, customer and competitor assessments to support ISD BU growth strategy.
• Develop/manage the long-range opportunity pipeline to support the AOP/LRSP process.
• Support/execute ISD BU VP customer engagements/cadence, working with Government Relations.
• Support/execute program advocacy and protect efforts with Government Relations.
• Support ISD BU Operating Unit market-segment research, strategy development and captures.
• Collaborate with Division/Sector BD counterparts on initiatives/actions to meet objectives.
• Ensure BU opportunities flow through the tailored capture process; lead Business Acquisition Process activities.
• Serve as a focal point for responding to Sector/Division strategy and business development actions with high-quality inputs reflecting the ISD BU business.
