Job summary

Highmark Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to work closely with customers and design teams to prioritize data requirements and develop decision-support solutions.

The role focuses on translating requirements into applications using SAS, R, SQL and other databases, while ensuring secure and accurate delivery of information. You will mentor colleagues, lead analytics projects of varying size and complexity, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Information Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related field.
• Master's Degree in related field preferred.
• 7 years of relevant, progressive experience in the area of specialization, including leading projects of varying size and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and foster internal relationships across the corporation and provide analytic support to internal customer areas and external business partners.
• Mentor colleagues on technical and business aspects of projects and consultative work.
• Define how decision support systems provide information to make effective business decisions and translate requirements into applications.
• Lead in defining issues and approaches for studies and projects, developing new methods of analysis or adapting existing solutions.
• Model data sources and flows and define security frameworks for delivery of information.
• Interpret raw data or statistical results and prepare reports or presentations for internal/external audiences.
• Develop and maintain moderate-to extremely-complex computer programs using SAS, R, SQL and related DB technology.
• Other duties as assigned.
