Job summary

Johns Hopkins Health System in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Senior Financial Data/Decision Support Analyst to deliver costing-informed analytics and to mentor junior staff. This role integrates operational and clinical drivers to explain margin performance and support local initiatives.

The Senior FDS Analyst will ensure analytic methods align with central standards, develop driver-based models and dashboards, and lead variance investigations to improve financial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting (Required)
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related field (Required)
• One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience, or one year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.

Responsibilities

• Build advanced service line analyses (profitability by procedure/physician/unit), applying central costing outputs.
• Develop driver-based models (volume, throughput, staffing productivity) and scenario analyses.
• Create/maintain dashboards for local leaders; ensure definitions match central KPI standards, including cost-accounting outputs, productivity benchmarks, and analyses.
• Lead investigations into variances and anomalies, reconciling operational data to finance results
• Support business cases and post-implementation reviews with measurable financial/operational outcomes
• Provide peer review and coaching for Analyst II/I deliverables
• Develop required management and forecasting reports for entity initiatives
• Manage SAP reports and ensure proper documentation for reporting processes

Salary Range

$41.00/hour - $65.60/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
