Job summary

Qualifications

• 23 years of relevant experience in debt collection, credit control or accounts receivable preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Experience following up on outstanding accounts and overdue payments.
• Ability to handle payment queries and negotiate suitable payment arrangements.
• Good administrative and organisational skills.
• Accurate record-keeping and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant debt collection or accounting systems.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and achieve collection targets.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers regarding outstanding and overdue accounts.
• Follow up on unpaid invoices and outstanding balances.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and monitor agreed payment dates.
• Respond to account queries and assist with resolving payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer interactions.
• Monitor outstanding accounts and escalated matters when necessary.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service throughout the collection process.
