Ameresco, Inc. seeks a Level 3 DDC Controls Technician to lead complex commercial building automation projects from installation through startup and commissioning. You will configure, troubleshoot, and optimize DDC systems and coach junior technicians.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and IT teams, support customers, and travel to project sites as required, ensuring safety and quality while delivering reliable, energy-efficient building operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with DDC controls.
• Strong knowledge of building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, IP-based).
• Experience leading complex controls projects from installation to closeout.
• Ability to read and interpret control drawings, electrical schematics, and sequences of operation.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsabilités

• Lead DDC control system installation, programming, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and closeout for complex commercial projects.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and sequences to implement functional control solutions.
• Program/configure DDC controllers, graphics, and peripheral equipment using Reliable, Niagara, Tridium, or equivalent.
• Develop control logic and sequences for reliability and energy efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex controls issues across networks, sensors, and equipment interfaces.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and IT trades to implement corrective actions.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide field direction and technical guidance.
