Job summary

Ameresco, Inc. is seeking a Level 3 DDC Controls Technician to independently lead complex commercial building automation projects in the Tampa area. You will install, program, startup, commission, troubleshoot and closeout projects with oversight for field teams.

You will mentor junior technicians, review drawings and specs, and coordinate with mechanical, electrical and IT trades to ensure reliable, energy-efficient operation. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with DDC controls and building automation.
• Advanced programming on Reliable, Niagara or Tridium platforms.
• Strong knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks and IP networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead DDC control system installation, programming, startup, and commissioning for complex projects.
• Provide field direction and mentor junior technicians on wiring, programming and testing.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers and customers to resolve issues and ensure quality.
