Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, Inc. is seeking a DDC/BAS Controls Technician III for new construction. The role focuses on troubleshooting and programming temperature control systems per project specs, installing, and supporting start-up and training activities on commercial HVAC projects.

Ideal candidates bring extensive field experience, certifications in major control platforms, and a proven ability to guide junior technicians while delivering high-quality project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2 years tech school and 3+ years start-up, checkout, and service experience.
• Certifications in KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell or equivalents.
• Ability to legally drive a company vehicle.
• Expert programming and troubleshooting in relevant systems.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving.
• Ability to read mechanical plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Program databases for operation sequences per specs.
• Calibrate and check-out control systems.
• Create project graphics for GUIs.
• Instruct customer personnel on operation and maintenance.
• Update drawings and as-built records.
• Support service contracts during start-up and owner training.
• Provide guidance to controls technicians on jobsites.
• Work independently on tasks at the jobsite.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on projects.
