Job summary

QTS Data Centers seeks a Regional Principal DCIM – Controls Build Quality Engineer to lead on-site controls implementations for new data center builds. You will manage BMS, PLC, and SCADA integration, coordinate CSI partners, and ensure design compliance and high-quality turnover.

The role requires deep controls engineering and project-management experience, with a focus on safety, reliability, and adherence to QTS standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of instrumentation and controls programming/installation and project management experience.
• Experience with HVAC control systems and electrical power monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with industrial automation and building management systems (PLC/DDC).

Responsibilities

• Oversee system integrator selection, evaluation, and QA across project phases.
• Lead BMS, PLC, and SCADA commissioning and field inspections on site.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage project status, risks, and turn-over.
• Ensure adherence to DIV25 specs and design deliverables.
• Drive standardization and validation of controls across buildings.
