Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Regional Principal DCIM – Controls Build Quality Engineer (CBQE) to lead on-site controls across new data center builds. You will drive BMS, EPMS, PLC, and SCADA implementation, manage integrator performance, and ensure safety, reliability, and alignment with QTS standards.

You will coordinate with contractors, drive quality assurance, and provide on-site commissioning support while managing risks and documentation for complex projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of instrumentation and controls programming/installation experience in data centers or large mission-critical buildings.
• 3+ years designing HVAC control systems and electrical power monitoring.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• Experience with industrial automation and building management control systems (PLC/DDC).

Responsibilities

• Oversee system integrator selection, evaluation, and QA across project phases.
• Lead on-site BMS/PLC/SCADA commissioning and issue resolution with vendors.
• Coordinate multi-stakeholder meetings to align project status and risks.
• Ensure adherence to DIV25 specs and design deliverables.
• Drive standardization and maintain project documentation and schedules.
