Job summary

Flexential is seeking a VP of Construction on a strategic, high-impact portfolio that spans multiple live builds and large-scale utility and data center projects. You will own project controls, cost visibility, and reporting standards, aligning field execution with contracts, and safeguarding contingency liquidity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Finance, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or Accounting is required.
• 5–8 years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, or construction accounting on heavy industrial or utility projects.
• 2–3 years on mission-critical or data center construction with understanding of heavy MEP cost profiles.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project controls reporting frameworks and portfolio-level visibility.
• Log and verify monthly progress billings and pay applications against field work in place.
• Review subcontractor change orders for entitlement and negotiate fair value before work begins.
• Monitor labor productivity, material waste, and design gaps to flag overruns early.
• Develop schedules integration, EVM-based metrics, and WIP forecasts for leadership.
