Job summary

PIMCO is seeking an experienced Defined Contribution Solutions Strategist to join the DC Solutions team. The role drives the design, development and commercialization of PIMCO's DC platform, partnering with multiple teams to create retirement solutions and support client growth.

The candidate will influence DC strategy, participate in thought leadership, and engage with plan sponsors, consultants and advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CFA designation, MBA, or other advanced degree desirable.
• 8+ years of experience in the institutional DC space within asset management, institutional sales, relationship management, client management or related fields.
• Experience developing, positioning and/or commercializing investment solutions for the US DC market, including target date funds and retirement income strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and evolve PIMCO's DC investment strategies, including target date funds and retirement income solutions.
• Develop positioning, investment narratives and go-to-market strategies to drive adoption and growth.
• Engage with plan sponsors, advisors, consultants and other stakeholders to assess needs and communicate perspectives on DC design and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product Strategy, Portfolio Management, Marketing and Consultant Relations to ensure clear positioning and differentiation.
• Serve as SME for PIMCO's DC platform, positioning solutions and supporting client retention and growth.
• Coordinate with Client Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to align offerings with market needs.
• Create client-facing materials, white papers, and thought leadership publications.
• Contribute to the annual DC consulting study and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Represent PIMCO at industry conferences and client events to enhance thought leadership.
