Job summary

ALKU is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineering Manager to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of DC and power instrumentation products. You will drive product direction, oversee cross-functional engineering teams, and manage execution from concept through production release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; MSEE preferred.
• 10+ years of hardware design and development experience, including board-level (PCB) products.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership, product leadership, or technical management experience.
• Proven track record delivering complex hardware products from concept through manufacturing release.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in fast-paced product development environments.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while balancing technical, schedule, and business objectives.
• Strong customer-facing experience translating requirements into product solutions.
• Experience working with vendors, suppliers, and contract engineering partners.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive product strategy, roadmap, and execution for DC/power instrumentation products.
• Lead cross-functional teams including hardware, software, firmware, FPGA, mechanical, and test engineering.
• Oversee product development from concept through manufacturing release, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer requirements, and technical goals.
• Manage multiple concurrent development programs, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate market needs into product direction.
• Drive engineering excellence through design reviews, verification, validation, and release processes.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate program status, priorities, and strategic direction to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
• Manage technical relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external development partners.
