Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our large distribution center to oversee all maintenance activities, lead the maintenance team, and ensure safety and efficiency. You will manage preventive maintenance, coordinate with vendors, and uphold CMMS processes while maintaining parts inventory.

The role requires mechanical and electrical maintenance expertise, supervisory experience, and strong communication and organizational skills to support Ross’s operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years maintenance experience in large distribution center and/or manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a large distribution center and/or manufacturing environment.
• Technically proficient in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to review and critique schematic diagrams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of CMMS.
• Knowledge of 5-S practices preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
• Awareness of state/local regulations, and code requirements.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (oral/written).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficient PC skills, to include Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance of all operating equipment and facility systems.
• Enforce preventive maintenance schedules and ensure quick responses to critical downtime in the distribution center.
• Train and develop maintenance personnel; verify that skills meet job requirements.
• Utilize CMMS to manage maintenance activity and inventory.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for construction projects and ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Maintain back stock of spare parts while minimizing inventory through supplier partnerships.
• Ensure contractual compliance for landscaping, pest control, waste management, and fire system maintenance.
