Job summary

AWS is seeking a Data Center Civil Engineer to join its East Design team. You will lead civil engineering designs for Amazon Data Centers and collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and Designers to solve complex site challenges.

This role supports high‑scale data center programs across North and South America, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates have a PE license, 6+ years of site-civil experience, and a degree in a relevant

Qualifications

Professional Engineer License.
Bachelor's degree or above in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent engineering discipline.
6+ years of commercial, warehouse, and/or industrial site-civil design experience.

Responsibilities

Manage external civil design consultants through design and construction of data centers.
Review site layout, grading, power substations, storm water, and utilities designs.
Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP design engineers.
Develop preliminary site layouts using Civil 3D and adaptable design concepts.
Communicate design standards and maintain project documentation throughout the life cycle.
Develop design standards, prototypes, and templates for site design of data centers.
